They did lots of work and minimal fussing. To tell you the truth, I don't remember if there was any fussing. Once I taught Teagan her math for today, she went out on the front porch to practice because she said she needed some fresh air. Neely wrote some great sentences today, did all of her normal work, and added in some coloring pictures for her birthday party.
This girl LOVES subtraction with renaming. It's another one of those things I was scared to teach her out of fear I would just confuse her. But, I did it! And it sparked a new idea in us! I will share it tomorrow.
The best part was that there were about 20 baby ducks that came out of their hiding spot. They were so cute! We got to the edge and lured them over with little crumbs. Then when one got close enough, I was able to gently scoop it up so the girls could touch it. It was so sweet! Then the mama duck started toward us, fairly quickly, so I set it back in the water and stood up. If I was going to get pecked I certainly didn't want it to be my face!
