That's right. We just keep partying on and learning on like little troopers. We have 16 days of school left! I am so excited to be rounding out my first year as a homeschool mama. All the stress of being organized (or not) and the ups and downs of focused children (or not) and all the productive days (or not) have all been worth every minute my babies are home with me where they should be. It almost feels like thr pain of having a baby; You tend to forget all the days that didn't go exactly as planned and look forward to doing it again the coming year.....but maybe with an epidural this time. =)
Today, we got to the pool just before 11 am. Rounding out the last couple of weeks of school means extra practice on old math and some super cool science activities. We are finishing science with a lapbook (whoo hoo!) of life cycles. That will be a part of their portfolios as will a special writing that we will work on until school is out. We did all of our math, science, writing, and reading by the pool, and the girl's got to swim when they were finished. I had prepared them a packet so they could work steadily. They even cut and pasted their frog life cycles in order after reading about each stage together.
I can say this about those three little girls...they didn't get their mama's skin. And I am so thankful! They all three have a tan and it only took them 3 days! With sunscreen! Madeline took after me because we burn just as soon as we think about tanning!
Now I am going to get my supper made (early), our clothes washed, and our bag packed, so we can go to bed and do it all over again tomorrow!
