Even though the messes have grown, I am thankful that I get to spend everyday with these girls.
Even though I have much work to do and am often times behind, I am thankful that I get to watch them grow academically and be the one who guides their learning.
Even though some days one doesn't like to hear the other one breathe, I am thankful that they get to spend this time together as sisters.
I am so thankful that we are not on public school time. We can go everywhere together. They are always with me. Watching me. Learning from me.
It is such a blessing to have made this decision, even through the most frustrating times because tomorrow is a new day.
Everyday, I watch them. I watch what they do. I look to see if they've been listening. Today, while I was reading to them, I mentioned the state of Virginia and it was like a starting cannon. Both girls jumped up to find it on the map. You can't do that in public school. And why not? Because having 20 kids running for a map is chaotic. They have become little location hunters. And I love it. =`)
P.S. Neely found it first.
