After I showed her how to use it, she did great. She found lots of synonyms for the words she was given. It just so happens that the first word we looked up was 'fast'. The synonyms we read for it were speedy, quick, and bat out of hell. It's a sure resource to give her writing a splash of cuss words, I mean, color. =)
She started on her whole number 8 today, and found all the pairs that can make 8. Of course, Mr. Eight was right there with us. It's a little cheesy, but the Misters are clowns and she gets to color or find secret codes with each lesson.
She did her phonics and read me three new books. I am so glad I found these easy readers at the education store I went to over the summer. I paid $1.00 for them!
We haven't been able to get out and do much because Jason's car has been out of service, and he has driven the van all week. But, luckily, he has a wife with a closet full of hats. After homeschool dismissed, I replaced his starter. It's amazing what you can do if your husband's been leaving you with no ride! He giggled a little when I told him what I was doing, and I think he called me 'Helga' or 'Gertrude' or something along the lines of a name that makes you think of a manly woman. You see, I did have to call and ask him which nuts to remove and which ones stay. That information wasn't on my internet printed instructions. =)
was way more fun. And I'm sure it was! While Libby snoozed, and I played
mechanic, they cut colored poster board and made their Barbie's new clothes.
Then they used all of my tape to hook'em together.
