This morning after we ate breakfast, I told the girls to get dressed because we were going for a walk. I just wanted to get our blood flowing, take the dog for a walk, and take the trash to the bin. We walked around the entire perimeter of the property. The girls wanted to see if anyone was swimming so they ran up to the gate and saw no one. Naturally, they wanted to swim--even Madeline. We went home, gathered our swimsuits, towels, AND school books, and headed back. I told them they had to do school first, but as soon as they were finished they could swim.
What motivation!! Teagan did 20 triple digit, triple stacked addition regrouping practice exercises in less than 20 minutes. Now how come she can't do that at the kitchen table?! =) A wise man teaching education classes at Clemson once said, "You have to find what motivates children and use it."
Looks like we're going to the pool every day we can! I am going to enjoy every single minute of it I can until the complex kids get out of school for the summer. haha
I am amazed that my little Libby, my last little baby, can touch the bottom! She was so excited, but it broke my heart!
