No, I didn't fall off the face of Earth for the last 2 weeks. I've been busy....making a mess while pretending to pack! And schooling of course. I've definitely not had time to take and post pictures. =(
There are so many clothes in this one house of ours, that I don't know where in the world they will go when we move from almost 1800 sq. ft. down to 1270 sq. ft. But, it's all for a good cause, and I hope for a short time.
I'm kind of sad that Lakewood Academy is moving to "Doonbeg." Although, that would have been a pretty unique name had we started homeschooling there.
I chose to name our homeschool Lakewood because it's a well known road right here where we live. It seemed appropriate since I grew up here.
Now we're on our way to Duncan, SC, where good things are going to happen! Jason got a job where I know he'll spread his wings and fly like the go-getter I know he is. He's always been exceptional at what he does, and now "Bull" will have the opportunity to grow. I've never seen him so pumped. So, I have a new twist on an old saying. "If Daddy ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!" And the past two weeks, everyone has been happy. This is going to be a life-changer, and I am so grateful to those who had a part in it.
Madeline will be a Byrnes Rebel. Fitting for a teenager. I will miss having her at home, but I know she will fit right in. She's a regular friend-magnet.
Jason will be gone every week for six weeks, coming home only on weekends. That will be new for me. New place and no man in the house. If you know me, you know I'm paranoid about break-ins. Thanks to my little brother for loaning me a big, fat shotgun. I feel better knowing that I don't necessarily have to aim well to hit my target. I foresee long nights in my near future. I'll have to keep watch at night and homeschool after lunch!
So in just over a week, it's hello Duncan, hello awesome new job, hello new faces, hello new places. And it's miss you Anderson, miss you family and friends, "up yours" to Cromer, middle finger to Azalea Realty, and good riddance to the select few that I have to share Anderson air with, who drink blood out of their coffee cups in the mornings. I have always heard the ones that make the most hideous noise, are always the ones that have the most to hide. Chew on that.
