Some of the fun stuff from last week? Here goes
p.s. Sorry for the blur in some of my pictures. I can't be a professional everything. *wink*
Neely put a bathing suit on her little person because it was 87 degrees F that day. Teagan was busy filling in some information about time.
Doing the daily notebook work does take a little more time than I like, but I am finding that it works for us.
Finally, that brings us to science.......
In our first week, we learned about the earth, seasons, the atmosphere, the equator, and the hemispheres. It was "All About Air."
We watched our experiment video (included in the pack), and then did a couple of the experiments. First, we acted out what it would be like to travel to space and talked about why astronauts wear space suits. Explaining how the atmosphere works was easy when we pretended to be astronauts in space without spacesuits. The rug marked the edge of the atmosphere bubble that we live in. Once outside of the atmosphere, we didn't have any air to breathe. Luckily, we didn't have any casualties. =) Everyone was able to jump back into our atmosphere before it was too late.
